We are currently seeking a self-motivated Repair Technician to join our growing team. VDG is a well established industry leader in drum motors for conveyor applications. We are seeking an experienced Repair Technician to deliver unparalleled pre and post technical support to customers. Responsibilities/Duties:
- Assemble and repair drum motors
- Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
- Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications
- Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work
- Service attachments and working tools
Requirements:
- 2-4 years’ experience assembling mechanical components
- Mechanically inclined team player
- Read and interpret blueprints and drawings
- Basic electrical knowledge and understanding
- Weight handling up to 30lbs
- Prior experience assembling and repair of gearboxes an asset
