- Study the drawings of the components to be manufactured. Consult with engineering group when difficulties are encountered when machining designed components.
- Implement various machining operations and machining sequence required to manufacture the finished job.
- Choose the right cutting tools and tool path by analyzing the job orders and maximize the benefit of the selected tools.
- Take into account the dimensions of the finished job and size of the raw material in order to calculate the time required to manufacture the finished job.
- Generate G-Code programs through different post for different CNC. Complete setup sheet.
- Be involved with fixture designing and application, as well as program setup.
- Train CNC operators when the program is run the first time. Adjust and modify the program to ensure the machine can run the program completely, first part manufactured meets the specification requirement, tool life meets designed requirement.
- Save and organize with all existing programs. Do daily backup.
- Improve existing program’s efficiency by re-editing or re-modifying G-Code.
- Prepare the program to ensure it can be run by different CNC when work order needs to be transferred from one machine to another without delay.
- Work with machine shop lead hand to improve the manufacture capacity, response speed, reduce scrap rate, and improve machine system efficiency.
