We are currently seeking a skilled Shipping Clerk to join our growing team. VDG is a well-established industry leader in drum motors for conveyor applications. If you would like to join a dynamic team while improving your skills, then we would like to meet you!
This role involves ensuring that products are packed, shipped and received in a timely and safe manner; thereby maintaining customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Accurately ship, receive and unload goods safely
- Quickly and accurately read and find products
- Arrange product in containers and on skids for shipment using appropriate packing materials
- Ability to establish work schedules, plan workload to meet deadlines
- Work with hand tools, build pallets, and secure parts for shipments "go to person" when needed for miscellaneous tasks
- Perform other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years experience in warehouse shipping and receiving
- Hilo driving experience
- Strong English communication skills with the ability to problem-solve inventory, shipping and receiving issues
- Physical ability to lift, up to 50lbs, and carry loads on a repetitive basis
- Ability to work with hand tools
- Computer literacy
- Detail oriented
